Glossary of Terms
Since trolls are from a completely different culture, many of the terms they use for things are different from our own. As such, I've compiled a list of the many and various terms that are likely to come up in conversation with Nepeta (or any troll).
CANON TERMS
(most of these come either from the wiki or this helpful guide)
12th Perigee's Eve - A troll holiday. Possibly serves a similar role to Yule/Christmas; celebration involves a troll's lusus dragging home a fresh behemoth leaving, which is then decorated.
Ablution trap - Lowblood vernacular for a bathtub, though most trolls seem to prefer this term.
Auricular sponge clots - Some unspecified part of the internal structure of the ear.
Auspistice - see troll romance
Barkbeast - A dog.
Barkfiend - As above.
Beefgrub - Some sort of Alternian food item.
Block - A general all-purpose term for a room, often seen in conjunction with a descriptor of some kind.
Bone nook - Most likely a vulgar term for a particular orifice. See also troll biology
Bone bulge - Most likely a vulgar term for a troll sex organ, and possibly synonymous with "bulge". See also troll biology
Can of dirt noodles - Can of worms
Cartilaginous nub - Nose, although the term "nub" can refer to any of a number of bodily parts.
Chitinous windhole - Larynx, or the rough equivalent thereof.
Collapsing and expanding bladder based aquatic vascular system - The equivalent of a heart in sea trolls.
Corpse box - Presumably a coffin, although trolls don't customarily bury their dead.
Crossing trestle - A bridge.
Dross coffer - A trash can, wastebasket, or dumpster.
Enclosure talons - Quotation marks.
Four-wheel device - Any sort of device that has four wheels. Most frequently used in canon for skateboards and wheelchairs.
Frond nub - Presumably something equivalent to a tree
Gander bulb - Eyeball
Grub loaf - An Alternian food item that is either similar to bread or meatloaf (or is something like pork buns).
Grubsauce - An Alternian condiment, made of grubs.
Grubtube - The Alternian equivalent of YouTube.
Hemospectrum - Already covered.
Hive - A troll's home.
Hivestem - The Alternian equivalent of an apartment building.
Hold poles - Railings
Hoof - Foot. (Trolls are not actually hoofed, and as such this may be slang.)
Hoofbeast - Any sort of animal that has hooves, though the term is commonly used for horses, cows, and bulls.
Hoofbeastmanure - Bullshit.
Kismesis - see troll romance
Lawnring - Yard.
Loadgaper - Toilet.
Lookstubs - Eyes
Lusus - A young troll's guardian. They often take the form of some manner of animal.
Matesprit - see troll romance
Moirail - see troll romance
Musclebeast - Pretty much what it sounds like. They may or may not be equine in nature.
Nook - Used in phrases such as "up to your nook in" something or something "getting caught in your nook." Alternatively, see "bone nook."
Nut creature - Squirrel
Nutrition cylinder - A can, particularly of the sort in which one might find canned food.
Nutrition plateau - A plate.
One-wheel device - A unicycle
Protein chute - Esophagus
Rainbow drinker - The Alternian equivalent of a vampire.
Recuperacoon - What trolls sleep in.
Rumble spheres - Breasts.
Respiteblock - Bedroom.
Seed flap - Most likely a term for mouth and/or lips.
Shout pole - Exclamation point.
Solar sweep - An Alternian year, often shortened to simply "a sweep." A sweep is roughly 2.16 Earth years.
Sniffnode - Another way to say nose.
Spinal crevice - The ass or asscrack, depending.
Sponge - The brain or mind, though it may also apply to any other soft or spongey tissue.
Sopor slime - The green goo that fills a recuperacoon. It helps assuage the violent nightmares that all trolls are prone to.
Squawk blister - Voicebox.
Squeal pipette - Throat.
Surprise noodle - Question mark.
Thermal hull - A refrigerator.
Two-wheel device - A bicycle
Wiggler - A baby troll.
Wiggling day - A troll's birthday.
Wheel device - A catch-all term for wheeled vehicles
Whirling device - A fan

Flapbeast - Bat (the animal sort).
Hootbeast - Owl.
Lateral illumination hatch - Window
Limb Hinges - Elbows and/or knees. (Though it should be noted that the term "kneel" also exists in troll parlance.)
Meowbeast - Cat.
Pouncebeast - As Nepeta uses it, one of larger varieties of cat (lion, tiger, etc).
Purrbeast - see meowbeast.
Squeakbeast - Mouse.
